Burn Out.

Well folks, it's lookin' like working two jobs is keeping me away from what I'd really like to do.  My WRITING!  60+ hours a week is burning me out quick but I have some time off next week in which I will be reviewing and revising Her Eternal Darkness and taking one step closer in being able to bring it to your eyes and minds!  I'm so excited!  I hope to get myself to a place in which my life is in balance soon.

Don't forget about my book Danger Close on Amazon.com!

Time.

It's been a few days more than I wished since my last post.  But, I knew that in working two jobs, things would become a little more difficult, time a little less available.
Anyway, my eco-friendly apartment living book idea is sitting somewhere in the cyber-sphere of my computer having had a few glitches in the system attempting to put it up on Amazon.  I've decided to put a hold on that and use my very spare time to do a few more read throughs on my full length and work on another short story.
I never knew how much time I'd wasted before I didn't have it anymore.  'Tis a testament all should know well.  I hope there are still some of you out there who support this blog and myself.  If so, help me to find more!
Till next time!

I've got an idea!

I was sitting down yesterday, thinking about my bills, and came into a little idea.  I live in a small apartment with my fiance and we share the responsibility of the bills.  Sometimes I look up little ways to save money here and there and I know that of everything I have said thus far, I am not the only one!  So, for those of you in my boat or who know somebody in said boat, I will be compiling everything that I research, find, and utilize into a short FREE book.  It will contain tips on living eco-friendly, a few 'greener' tips, and just tips in general to keep as much of your hard earned cash as possible.  Instead of scouring the Internet, you will have it all at your finger tips in one place.
And maybe, if I can find the best outlet for this, I will make it available not only to Amazon Kindle, but several other ebook outlets as well!

Just a fun and short little project to keep the writing muscles in shape.  Leave me a comment, tell me what you think about this idea, or my short story Danger Close (Available for the Kindle for .99c) or just say hello.  Have a fantastic day!

'Tis an Update!

Good afternoon bloggers, writers, followers and etc.
It's been just a few short (or rather long) days since my last post and therefore I am here to update!

First and foremost I hope that all of your Valentines day's went just as well as mine did.  I spent it with my wonderful fiance for dinner and a movie with a few of our other friend couples.
We also discovered that we won a trip to Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon and are receiving free wedding bands.  What more could we ask for?

Now down to the nitty gritty.
As most of you know, there is never enough time for anything when you need there to be.  It's an affliction to writers as well!  Times are hard and in just starting out on a slow crawl up the giant mountain of potential success, it isn't paying the bills.  I find myself in a catch and having to pick up a second job, which in turn means...EVEN LESS TIME FOR WRITING.  It does not bode well to give up on dreams, however.  I have a sense of optimism that as long as I continue to put forth an effort (and keep paying my electric bill) some day the grind of daily life may shift it's position on my shoulders allowing for even just a moments worth of breathing room.  It is an attainable dream, like many others, but those my friends do not fall into ones lap, they must be made to come true!

End of the Weekend.

Wow, what a busy, busy weekend.  But alas, it is over.  Don't fret! They come once a week.
Anyway, this weekend I had a dream that sparked an idea for yet another book.  This time, however, it won't just be a short story, it will be a series of "chapters" released one at a time to the Amazon Kindle and hopefully other ebook outlets.
All of these small releases are just setting up the small stage (or soapbox) for my book, Her Eternal Darkness.
Follow me to keep up on the details! Tell your friends about me!  And check out Danger Close for the Amazon Kindle today! (Or tomorrow, there's always tomorrow =] )
Goodnight Folks!

Suspense!

Just throwin' this out there for those of you who are reading.
I am currently working (re-working, and re-working) a full length novella titled Her Eternal Darkness, oh yes, I do have more than the occasional short story up my sleeve.  The book can't be pinned to just one category as I often refer to it as a lesbian-vampire-semi-adult-tragedy-romance.  Let me toss a little description your way:

Follow the life of Shane McDunnah as she juggles the past, every-day life, and becoming an immortal.  Shane didn’t have much but a crappy job and an even worse apartment until she met Sophia who changed her life, forever.  Follow her life as she finds out what comes after “It can’t get any worse” in this story of romance, life and the after-life.
Sounds interesting doesn't it?  This is no "Gay Twilight" here folks.  No sparkling, No happily ever after style boy-meets-girl romance.  None the less, I can't wait to publish it for you all to enjoy.  I already have the idea for a second book but, in my opinion, one can't have a great second without an equally as great of a predescessor.

Anyway, if you will turn your attention to the right side of your screen you will see that you have the ability to share me on facebook and such and give me a +1 for you google+ users.  Or, you can just shirk me off to your friends for them to share instead.  But whatever you do, keep reading!

Danger Close for Amazon Kindle!

My first short story has been published as an eBook to Amazon.com in the Kindle store!

It is the final addition to the super-short posted yesterday but instead of approximately 750 words, it is now 1800 words with added descriptions and dialogues for you to better understand the book in a nutshell.

Danger Close by K. L. Jones (For only .99c!)
Sergeant Schulyer Lewis finds out just how much it takes, and how much it can take from you, to serve your country proudly during a time of war.

Now, to explain the inside of the proverbial nutshell that is this book.  It is the essence of sacrifice that the men and women of the U.S. armed forces face, especially on deployment.  It's underlying idea came from my short time in the U.S. Army before I was Honorably Discharged for an injury I sustained during Basic Combat Training.  I hope one day, I will be able to re-enlist and proudly serve once again, but for now I will enjoy my writing!
